So, I apologize for the interjection but I cannot sit aside and not make this point. While the rescue is incredible and goes to show how much we do not necessarily need the help of services like rescues and animal control, these hoomans for whatever reason still handed the cat over to the humane society. Only to then adopt it themselves. Now, look, I’m not mad at them, only confused. If you felt so obligated to adopt it, why put the poor thing through the nightmare of the foster system in the first place? Perhaps they were flustered and felt as though sticking to protocol would be best, I don’t know, but I hope that this example will serve to remind anyone who finds themselves in a similar position that it is best to keep the cat in your home for as long as possible rather than send it ping ponging around.

Ah, it is wonderful to see the transformation of a kitty who looked to be on the brink of not making it another day, now giving his new pawrents a whole load of trouble and at the tender age of 6 months becoming a particularly picky eater. It just goes to show how much good a safe, stable and loving home can do for a feline. And I know I got a little mad at these pawrents earlier, but it is only because it is clear that this kitty was destined to be with them. And it can be soooo frustrating when people somehow miss the very signs that the universe has put in front of their very eyes.
